Cherry Queen Candidate Tessa Nico

Miss Tessa Nico

Tessa Nico is the daughter of Brandon and Jessica Nico of Elk Rapids. She is a 2023 graduate of Elk Rapids High School and is entering her sophomore year at Central Michigan University where she is majoring in Broadcast and Cinematic Art with a minor in Sports Management. Tessa spends her time at Central participating in club sports and attending sporting events on campus, as well as meeting new people, and is getting first-hand experience in her career field. She is a sports reporter on Central View Live, alive news show that is broadcast throughout Mount Pleasant and online. Tessa has had the honor of representing her town of Elk Rapids as Miss Teen Elk Rapids 2020 and Miss Elk Rapids 2022. She is so grateful she had the opportunity to advocate for her community and grow into a more confident and driven young woman. She has found her passion for supporting the community around her and being a positive role model for the youth she met along the way. With Tessa’s love for people and sports, she wants to pursue a career in Sports Broadcasting with the ultimate goal of being on ESPN one day.
